30 is a scary milestone in one’s life. Its the age that is, as a youth, never expected to come. New Years is a holiday bathed in celebration, personal reflection, and hope for the future.
I guess I’m fully an adult now. I have a lot of accomplishments. I’ve moved to California in an ’88 Vanagon with my friend, made the first, most comprehensive networks of independent satellite installers, moved back home, released my first album titled “Piece of Ship” , and re-met my current girlfriend and ex-classmate. I have great friends and am consistently meeting new ones with the same likes and goals as I have. Life is good.
There are a plethora of other interesting stories and tidbits of information, but that’s not the point of this article, “Turning 30 Years Old” that has been siting in my drafts folder for just over a month now.
So what is it about? I don’t really know, but I can tell you over the last month I have made some pretty incredible changes in my life. I opened up another business, migrated websites to new servers (not an easy task), built a friendship with a lawyer, opened communications with various governmental agencies, and most importantly, created a plan for the future. I have created a general business plan through my personal reflections.
Please know that this does come with some disappointment. I grew up believing I could will the world I wanted into existence. Through experimentation I have discovered that it is far more complex; that you must caress the walls of opposition, like a mosquito secreting saliva to facilitate it’s feeding. Try not to get swatted away from your needs/dreams.
I guess the true meaning of this post is to let the world know that I’ve never been more ready. Ready for what opportunities may come in the future. Ready for obstacles I have to face. I have been preparing for long enough and the pieces have finally come into alignment.
Let’s Talk
